How long should I burn my candle for?

You should only burn a candle for maximum 4 hours. Carefully extinguish the flame when ready and place the lid back on the candle.

Do I need to trim the wick every time I burn it?

Cutting the wick of a candle prior to every burn is very beneficial. It helps with longer lasting candles, no tunnelling, even burn and the perfect scent throw.

Prior to every burn (when the wax is cool and hardened) trim the wick to roughly 5-6mm. Having excess length on a wick can also cause mushrooming, this will cause more soot to occur.

Why is my candle tunnelling?

Tunnelling occurs when a candle isn't burned long enough during its first use. We recommend allowing the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar on the first burn (usually 2–4 hours) to help prevent tunnelling.
